18 Hole Tour

View all 18 holes at Pinetuck Golf Club. Pinetuck boasts a layout that features multiple doglegs, meandering streams and challenging par threes, and is fun for the everyday golfer.

Hole #1 is relatively short with little trouble except the road on the right which is OB. Keep your drive in play and you should have a short iron to the green.

Hole 2 is a straight par 4 with trees bordering the left and a fairway bunker on the right at about 220 yards. The approach is slightly downhill to a large green with no trouble in front but shallow traps on both sides.

Hole 3 par 3 has a large, deep trap on the left and a smaller one at the front right. It is slightly uphill and you need to make good contact to get it there with sufficient backspin to hold.
Hole 4 – Grip it and rip it but stay out of the trees on the left. There is room on the right to stray and usually you will not get a bad lie, even to the far right. The approach to this deep green requires that you understand where the pin is placed before selecting your iron.

Hole 5 -Don’t be fooled by the handicap rating on this hole. This hole is not that easy to par. The green has a little turtleback shape and can be tricky when it is fast.
Hole 6 – Two long woods can get you to the green. Since it is slightly uphill you need to be sure where the pin is on this deep green. It can mean the difference of a long potential 3 putt or bird putt.

Hole 7 – The drive needs to have enough distance to set up an uphill iron shot to a relatively small green. If you end up using a wood, favor the left side to avoid the trap and roll on.

Hole 8 – Although a straight par 5, this hole has an unusual green which slopes away from you. Knowing this, it is best to position yourself for, and strike a high iron that grabs, to get a chance at a bird. This green is viewed from the rear.

Hole 9 – There are friendly sand traps in front that will catch short shots and keep them from rolling back into the water. In any case there is usually a breeze against you and the green has good slope, so chose your club carefully and hit it.
Hole 10 – With OB on the left the drive needs to be straight and not too long, since there is water at about 235 yards. Leave it too short and you will end up with a long approach over water. The good news is that there are no traps around the green.

Hole 11 – OB on the left, trees on the right, need distance — driver behave. The green is small with OB on left and a swampy green pond next to it on the right. The approach needs to be crisp, high and accurate. Forget bird…come away with par and be happy.

Hole 12 – If you hook the tee shot you will be introduced to a beautiful, clear gurgling stream on the left. This green has a turtle back shape and iron shots easily roll off.
Hole 13 – A nice straight par 4 where you need to be in the fairway. There is a pond/swamp in front of a flat, trap-less, green that has a steep apron in front. Therefore the approach must carry to the green or it will stop in front or on the fringe.

Hole 14 – The tee shot should favor the right only since there are trees on the left. It is important to note the pin placement on this large green because the uphill iron may require an extra club. This green has an extreme slant back to front and it is most deirable to be below the pin.

Hole 15 – A drive over 260 may reach the water, but more probably a drive too short could cause a wet second shot. Note that an approach that is over the green or left will get you an OB.

Hole 16 – There is plenty of room to let it rip on this one. Unusual for a par 5 is the large flat green. This green that slopes away from you has some tricky rolls that are tough to gauge.

Hole 17 – This unforgiving par three requires a solid hit iron, since the ball must carry all the way to the green guarded by bunkers – front and rear. A ball landing over the water but short of the green will still probably kick back into the water.
Hole 18 – This finishing uphill par 4 can play longer that it looks. A trap guards the right front of the green but don’t hit it left, since the cart path will send it further out of bounds into the parking lot.
